Who We Are
Arewa IOPSD is a corporate think tank committed to research and advocacy for the empowerment, rapid industrialization and urbanization of Northern Nigeria in line with the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 of the United Nations Development Programme.
This will be achieved by developing economic blueprints via evidence based research and developing strategies that will provide policy direction for jobs and wealth creation in the 19 Northern states, Abuja and the country at large through reliance on agriculture as well as providing an environment for fostering global partnership.
Objectives
- Engage in multi-disciplinary research for Northern Nigeria Economic Development via
Private Public Partnership - Undertake evidence based analysis and debates aimed at improving the quality of economic policies for Northern Nigeria
- Organize and participate in conferences, trainings and workshops aimed at accelerating human capital development for global partnerships in Northern Nigeria
Ecomomic Blueprint Development Pillar
A 50 years Economic Transformation Blueprint will capture the transformation Northern Nigeria is capable of attaining, which are inline with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations Programme.
The Arewa IOPSD will develop research materials that provide the road map needed for implementing the 50 years Economic Transformation Blueprint. The road map will comprise of three phases:
- 1 st phase 20 years
- 2 nd phase 15 years
- 3 rd Phase 15 years
